Consulting from Basel

My wife is potentially relocating with her company to Basel from the US. She will have a work permit and her company will provide me with a residence permit. I have a small consulting firm in the US and would like to continue consulting with my US and international clients from Basel. Can my small consulting firm petition for a work permit for me so I can work/reisde in Basel and conitnue my business? Or are there other options to continue my business from Basel? Any guidance would be much appreciated!
