Advice for young prof thinking of moving to Switzerland

Hello,

I am a 25 yr old female currently working for a bank in London. I have always lived here but would really like to experience living abroad for a couple of years. I have the opportunity to move within Europe with my job and am considering Switzerland as an option. I have been to Lugano which was very beautiful and am also thinking about Zurich. My only concerns are the cultural differences. As a young girl moving to Switzerland on her own... is it going to be very hard to fit in and make friends. I have read that the swiss do not generally make friends at work and that as a whole are quite formal. Can anybody share any personal experiences and give me any advice? I think switzerland offers many great things but I don't want to live somewhere where I have no friends or social life. I'd also appreciate any info on what the social scene in zurich is like... are there places to go out and have fun?
