Possibly moving to Lugano from US

Before we start, let me preface this by saying I have lived overseas before (Sweden and Australia).
I have an interview for a highly technical position in Lugano (I have a PhD) next week. The proposed package includes relocation expenses up to a certain amount. I'm curious about a) what people took with them when they moved, b) what did you regret not taking, c) did you take your car? (if you did, how much did moving it cost?) d) if you had an interview and a chance to visit before you accepted the job, what to you wish you had enquired about but didn't?
e) What am I missing? I've read the book on living and working in Switzerland and feel a bit innundated with info at the moment.
