Swiss boy with American girl, what are the options?

I have been with my Swiss boyfriend for over a year now. He has been living with me in Nashville on a Student visa for about a year. Last summer I traveled to Switzerland to meet the family and get accustomed to his culture. He is needing to leave the country by Jan. 1st as his VISA will expire. I am of course planning to travel with him. The original plan was to live in Switzerland for a few months. But recently we have decided the London would be the better choice as he is a Photographer and I am an actress. Swiss nationals are allowed to live/work in the UK without a VISA. I on the other hand have been pulling my hair out to figure out my options. Does ANYONE have any advice on this topic? Or even other suggestions? We are always changing our plans. We just want to live happily together without some government giving us a timeline. I appreciate the feedback. Thanks so much!
