In a few months me (South African) and my boyfriend (Argentinian) will be moving to Taiwan. I am going to teach English and for the most part I seem to understand the requirements, specifically that you can only teach English if it is an official language of the country on your passport, correct? That makes his situation a little bit more complicated.
Would doing a location based TEFL course help him in anyway if Argentina's only language is Spanish?
He is a professional guitar player for the last 12 years and has taught music for 8 years, both in Spanish and English. Is it at all realistic that he could find a job teaching music, giving guitar lessons or teaching Spanish anywhere in Taiwan?
Even if his education is a private music institute and not a university?
Any information would help us tremendously!
Thank you!
