I am just finishing up my Bachelors degree and will be taking a TESOL course before moving to Thailand from January to July 2016. I'm doing research on places to live and would really appreciate some suggestions! I will be looking for jobs when I am there, either as an English teacher or hotel worker. I am looking for a place where I can have an island/beach lifestyle and still experience Thai culture without there being tourists everywhere. I would love to find a beach town to live in close proximity to the beach. I am also an avid scuba diver and would prefer to be in an area that has good dive sites OR an area in which transportation to dive sites is easy. Right now I am leaning towards Ao Nang in Krabi province. Does anyone have experience living in Ao Nang? Thank you for helping me!
