Chiang Mai

Heat and humidity- I've been to BKK and Pattaya. Growing up in Florida I have been in heat and humidity, but WOW ! That's bad.
I have not been to Chiang Mai and hope to move there one day. I understand it is cooler, but still pretty darn hot. It is the only downside I see to moving there. Can you please comment on how how bad it is....how you deal with it...how much cooler is it than BKK, etc ? Thanks very much !
