Chiang Mai - recs for SIM card and buying bug racket zappers

Hello! Just arrived in Chiang Mai. Purchased 3 mosquito zapping rackets and a DTac SIM card. Suffice to say, none of them work.

In Vietnam, I'd get the rackets at local markets. Can anyone tell me where to go here? My general experience in Vietnam was the fancier the store, the worse performing the racket was.

I need a new SIM card ASAP since now I can't access ride services like Uber. I'm staying on the outer perimeter of the city and need mobility.
