Relocating to the Netherlands

I would love to move there and get out of this consumer driven American hell. To all you successful ex-pats - I need advice. I am not looking for a big corporate position. In my little Dutch fantasy - I live in a rural area and work a couple of menial jobs - I just love farming! So maybe a half day at the tulip/horse/dairy farm and then working at the pub at night. Is there anyway this could be reality - or am I dreaming and maybe should just move to Vermont? Thanks in advance for any wise advice from you all!
