Hello -
I'm American and have primary custody of my 3 year old daughter. Her father is not very involved nor has he paid any support but he does see her about 3 times a month for about 3 hours at a time.
He is most likely going to take a job in another country since he cannot find a job locally. He's an international cargo pilot.
I'm dating a Dutch man and we're planning to marry but he is concerned with the Dutch Government accepting my move with my daughter.
I am planning to file a petition with my court system and feel we have a strong case since my ex doesn't live up to the agreements and not to mention he will most likely take a job outside the US.
However my fiance thinks that the Dutch government demands the other parent give consent, even if the court grants me the move.
Does anyone have ideas on this or where I might find resources?
Thank you!
Cathy
