Police certificate of character

I am due to move out to T&T next week but the company relocation officer has sent a list of requirements "I should bring with me".

On the list is - "certificate of character from your nearest police station".

Is this something I have to get from the UK or something I get when I arrive to show I have not been naughty in T&T in the past?
