Cost of renting

I hopefully will be recieving an offer tomorrow which includes a housing allowance. The wife is saying we need at least 3 rooms. So my question is what is the average rent per month for a 3 bed apartment say in west moorings?

Oh and from what I can see tax is 25% of all earning and there is no protected earnings like the uk. Is this correct?
