Coming to Trinidad

We're moving to Trinidad from the UK in March, I'd really appreciate some advice please...
1. Looking at real estate on line, I wonder if it is normal to seek a discount on the asking price of rentals?
2. We have a 14 year old son and don't know whether to leave him at a boarding school in England or transfer him to the International School. Does any one have thoughts?
