Electrical Items from UK

I am moving to Trinidad in March and starting to pack up the personal items I wish to bring over there. My husband thinks a lot of our electrical items that are 24ov will not work over there as the electrical items are 110v. Will I need to buy a converter/inverter so that our electrical goods will work over there?
