What would be a good option to stay - apartment or townhouse or independent home in Port of Spain?

How good is the preschool / day care options in Port of Spain? What are the daily rates and best locations?

Are there good dog boarding options in Port of Spain? Can you suggest any including the daily boarding costs?

I am shifting with my family which includes an infant and a large dog. I understand not all rentals would be accommodating for large pets.
