Feeling Isolated....

I have just moved to Turkey - Izmir on the west hand coast to live with my Turkish partner (soon to be husband) I own an English school which we have been working hard to establish.
I have been here 2 weeks now. I have been so excited about coming here for so long and keeping busy with all the organising that goes with moving to another country that I didnt realise how isolated and alone I would feel.
This feeling mainly comes from being able to only speak very basic Turkish and also only knowing a very small amount of people. I know its early days and I know that my Turkish will improve and I am likely to meet new people but it seems impossible at the moment and I was just wondering if anyone else has experienced this and has any advice....
