Hi
We are planning to move to Dubai at the end of this month. We are debating whether or not we should ship our appliances along with us household affects. We have a whirlpool duet front loading washer/dryer and GE profile 26 cu ft fridge. I understand that the electricity in Dubai is 220v which should be no problem for the dryer. However the washer is a 120v and so is the fridge. They are only a 6 months old....If we sell them in the US, we would lose money on the depreciation....Another thing we are considering about is the electricity and space availablity to put these appliances in our home in Dubai in our home. We will expecting our housing accomendation to be a 3 BD apartment....
For those who currently or have lived in Dubai, is it worth our while to ship to Dubai or sell in the US only to replace them in Dubai ??
I would hate to ship our appliances to Dubai & work in there when they arrive..
Please help with some advice.
thanks
