next step after being invited to Dubai

Hello:

I was invited by one of the brokerage house in the UAE for an all day meetings. They paid for my air fare and hotel from Canada. My day went well and I was told that I will hear from them in few weeks. That was alomost a month ago. What happens next? Can they still say no?
