Sri Lankan looking to network.

Hi folks,

I'm Sri Lankan and new to Dubai. 3 weeks to be precise. I was browsing through the forum and there are lots of forum entries that say there are many fun things to be done, places to visit etc. I've my fair share during the past 3 weeks I was here. However I realised that the real estate prices are really high and unless you bring in few thousand of USD with you settling down here can be quite hectic. Food I must say is cheap or value for money, transportation costs are manageable, day time is hot but has not bothered me so far. All in all the visit so far has been quite ok. The caveat is sometimes it's hard to find folks of your own nationality but there are varying cultures and interesting folks around. I'd like to make a few friends in varying nationalities cause I'm new to the country and I'm sure there are folks in this forum who'd be willing to let a new person introduced to places, activities etc. I can be reached on [email protected].
