Midwife needs first hand info on life in the middle east

Hello, I am a 33 year old single female from the uk. For the last few months I have been looking into living and working in the middle east (mainly Saudi). I would be grateful to from those working there now or anone who's worked there recently. I am of african decent and wondered about mundane things like access to specialist hair and beauty products, the ethnic mix of expats, social life etc etc. It is my aim to be there by June 2008 and would love to correspond with people already there.
