Al Ain

Greetings everyone, I'm an American expat, lived 5 years now in Southeast Asia and Korea. I've been offered a job in Al Ain.

I'm single, never married, and freaked out over moving there. I would like some input from those with experience.

Is there any social scene? I would think as a signle western male, I'd be bored to tears in this city, without even modern comforts of Dubai.

The money is excellent, the job is excellent, but I'm not sure I can give up my freedoms for those things.

Are websites blocked? no ladies allowed to visit me from abraod? I understand I can't even have a housekeeper???

I'm interested in any and all opinions.
