Best areas of Abu Dhabi to live in

Greetings to the group. My husband has lived here near the Corniche for a year. I am here looking at places to live if I move here in September. Any suggestions on better areas? We have no kids with us, I hope to get a job (not a golfer), and am very active in business and social pursuits. I looked out by the Shangri-La but it seems far to keep coming back for restaurants and fun. Thanks for your help!
