Young children in Al Ain

My husband and I will be moving to Al Ain in August with our 18 month old and a second baby on the way. Can anyone tell me what I can expect to find in the way of infant care items (diapers, formula, etc.)/ neccessities for young children? And are the prices much different from what we are paying here in the States? How much should I try to bring vs. what should I plan to purchase there? Are there consignment stores? Is Al Ain a child-friendly place? How do you work around the heat? I have a lot of questions, I know. If anyone out there can help me get an idea of what I can expect, I would greatly appreciate it!!
