Moving to Abu Dhabi or Dubai

hi,

I am a belarussian woman married recently and my husband is working in Abu Dhabi. I intend to relocate to UAE and he advised to either stay in Abu Dhabi or in Dubai border close to Abu Dhabi.
I seek guidance especially being a Russian speaker and first time be in UAE regarding where to live, what activities to consider?
I gave a dog so what to consider?
