A 7-year licensed French lawyer with 4-year practice in the US, I am about to open my practice in London this summer. As a newcomer in the UK and on this forum, I would like to hear from other expatriates their opinion as to the business formula I plan to introduce in my London practice. It is as follows:
WALK-IN CONSULTATIONS - from 8:30 until 13:30, at £65 per each 20-30 minutes.
FOLLOW-UP CORRESPONDENCE to third parties, adversary, etc& at £65 each
SCHEDULED APPOINTMENTS from 15:00 until 20:00, at £125 per each 45-60 minutes.
Available BRIEF WRITING quote on a per case basis (roughly between £450 and £1500).
Main practice areas are IMMIGRATION, TAXATION, BUSINESS LAW, LABOR LAW, LANDLORD-TENANT DISPUTES, FAMILY LAW, PERSONAL INJURY, and MEDICAL MALPRACTICE.
In which geographical areas do you suggest I place my practice (I mean, away from the City and other expensive areas, of course)?
Thanks for your input, it will really help me and my family determine if we are ready to move to London.
