Hello everybody
I am a Egyptian-Cypriot and has been living all my life in Cairo, Egypt. I hold the Cypriot passport so there will no visa or work permit problems with working in the UK..(or that's what I assume, correct me if I am wrong here please).
My problems and questions are as follows:
1) I do not know anybody in London or the whole UK. I can manage to find a room in a shared flat over the internet... so after leaving the airport...going to my room..what then?
2) Is it possible to make living in london with around 700 GBP/month? I do not want to go out or socialise or anything until I find a job, the only thing I need is an internet connection and eat what keeps me living.
3) I am a computer professional with IT certifications, how long would it take me to find a decent job in London? Is it possible to make 1700 GBP/month (net) ?
4) Do I need to register myself with any entity for health insurance and benefits? where can I get advise about my legal status while being in the UK? I have never lived in a european country so I do not have insurance or benefits in Cyprus.
