My husbands company is moving him to their UK office for 2 years. We will be moving around the middle of August, 1st of September and we have two children ages 9 & 11. We are quite excited about our move and feel we are being realistic in our expectations. The only thing I am still concerned about is schools for our kids. My husband's company is fairly small and cannot foot the huge tuition bill at the American Schools in London and I also cannot pay $50,000 for my kids to attend school. I am hoping that we will be able to find space for them in the state schools near where we will be living. Probably North London area due to proximity to the office. Any advice anyone can give me regarding good schools in this area and the possibility of actually getting a space is them would be very much appreciated.
I also would like any information on gymnastics programs available in the London area. My 11 year old daughter is on a competitive team here and would like to be able to at least maintain her skill level while we are gone.
