Hello All, Happy new Year
I am new here, and like many of you, I registered because I am planning a move.
I am french, and moved to UK 6 months ago for a good job opportunity. I am a footwear developer, 31y old, and I am currently doing 37kpounds + 12.5% bonus a year. I am living in Newcastle. Everything is fine so far.
The news is I have been called a few weeks ago by a recruitment company. They are looking for somebody with my profile, but for a much more exciting company, and the job itself is much more exciting. I already had an interview, went quite well, because they want to see me again. It's going to be between me and another guy. 2nd interview next week.
My question is :
If I am doing 37k+12.5% in Newcastle, and since I told them I was doing 40k+12.5% (fair game), and since living in London is more expensive, how much would be an acceptable salary in London, considering the fact that I deserve a bonus for moving for them, and that the new salary should cover the difference in the cost of living between the 2 cities?
That's not such a long question, is it :-)
Even though the job is amazing, for a dream company, they said they have a budget of 45k (of course no nego so far), and I dont want to make a mistake. Especially I know the price for property is amazing in London
Can anybody seriously help me?
Thanks in advance
