Planning the move

My husband and I are beginning to plan for our move from the US to the UK, which we are hoping to accomplish in early 2007. I'm English and have lived in the US since the early 80s, and my husband is American. He does a lot of work in Europe and is working with a German colleague to set up a consultancy, with a base somewhere near Gatwick or Scotland (odd, but we know what prices are so are leaving our options open - my preference is Gatwick, but I'm trying to be realistic). During the planning process, we've realized that there is a lot we still need to find out. We have a US/UK tax accountant, who has been helpful with the tax angle, but we really need help finding a reputable company in the US (preferably around the Virginia/Washington DC area) to help us identify all the other items we need to take into account -- such as required income, health insurance, financial planning, etc etc. If anyone has used a company that they recommend or knows of a reputable agency, we would really appreciate the help.
