Jamaican Citizens and Migration to England

Hi.

I have a question for anyone who may be familiar with my situation.

My mother was born in Jamaica when it was still a Commonwealth nation, because of this I am a dual citizen of both the US and Jamaica. In my many travels to England I have seen the large population of Jamaican people, as well as Carribbean people in general living in the London area and England.

I know that eventhough Jamaica is no longer a British Commonwealth there must still be some kind of ties to England since it seems so easy for Jamaican people to migrate there.

I am interested in relocating to England for a couple of years but I am unable to find any information that covers my specific situation. I have been looking for information on if I would need a visa or not and all the questions that would entail.

If anyone knows of any resources where I can find out more specific information or if anyone knows this from their own experiences it would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you all for looking at this,
Lennaire Miller
