what global health insurance is best

hello, i am moving to london. i am looking for health insurance for about 3-4 months until i get married to a British citizen and i am eligible for NHS. i am an american. i don't need anything extensive. i'd rather have something cheap that protects me in case of accident or grave illness because i have to go back and forth to france and will see my doctors there. is there anything that is reliable but cheap that will cover me in the uk? i see lots of available on line but know nothing about them. i am an american citizen age 38 and i am just leaving my company which provided insurance.
