How do I find a job?

I am so glad that I found this website. Just returned from a one month visit to London to see my son. I miss him but I also miss England. Born in Germany, I moved to the US in 82. I have a green card and have kept my German citizenship, so I have no work permit issues in Europe or the US .

My husband and I are discussing relocating to England. He is still a few years away from full retirement in Texas but is receiving retirement benefits from the Army and the State of Montana. I would love to find a job in the UK that would allow him to retire now. My background is a degree in finance. 18 years of self-employment in PR/advertising, and the last 10 years in senior management for non-profits.
I have contacted some staffing agencies, but no replies.

I would love to work on a contract base for 3-6 months asap, so we can decided whether moving to England is for us.

I am not so concerned about the logistics, sinceI have done this before and I have learned from the many mistakes we made.

Thanks to all who take them time to help.
Sincerely, Christine
