Moving to London

I'm so glad to have found this forum. My husband and I are looking at a possible job move which would take us to the London area. We are in our 50's and have three adult children who would not be moving with us.

Husband is an executive who would work in Sunbury and our hope is to live in London near the Waterloo station for an easier commute.

What could one expect to pay for a flat in this area? Looking for a 2-3 bedroom with 2 bathrooms with a gym in the building. It doesn't have to be the most posh, but must be 'very nice.' I would like a terrace and a really good kitchen.

We are expecting a relocation package to be presented soon. I have looked online at some info and it seems like this type of apartment is around 2500 -- 3000 GBP per month. Does that sound right? Also, does anyone recommend a particular honest broker?

I have taken note of some great points for relo regarding the cost of living and the tax issue.

Many thanks for this great forum.
