Considering relocating to UK

Hi- My husband is interviewing for a job in Sheffield. In researching cost of living and annual wages, everything I am finding is about London.
I understand that it is much cheaper in the north then the south.
I have a few questions and thought someone could help.

First, The company my husband is interviewing with is a UK company. What type of relocation employment package should we be asking for?

Second, currently our annual salary is in $90K-110K (USD) range. If we asked for an annual salary of $60,000 (GPB) would this be equivalent? Or should we ask for more due to the taxes?
