Might be planning a little early, but

15 years ago
I am finishing up my degree and will graduate next spring, so I am thinking I may be a little early in planning. I am just curious about getting advice when to get started with all the planning. I was also reading a link from the embassy in London that had a pamphlet saying that I would have to pay VAT for electrical items over 300GBP. Anyone ever go through that? I got an amazing deal on an LCD TV that I would love to bring, but I am not sure I want to pay to ship it then get taxed again on it. Any advice will be appreciated.
