Getting started in the UK

Hi :)

I've noticed, after reading the countless posts, how everyone is struggling to get sorted in the UK.
I had the very same problem.
I struggled to find my feet when first arriving. A friend then told me about a company called 1st Contact. They assisted me in setting up a UK bank account without needing proof of address nor needing a utility bill. I mean, who has that upon arriving in the UK?
When I phoned them all they needed was to know that I was on a valid working visa or passport and I had a UK address. With this, they gave me a choice of 3 banks, which was Barclays, Lloyds or HSBC. I eventually chose my bank, went in the same day and my account was set up. It was just that easy! What a relief.
They also do VISA's, Tax Refunds when leaving the UK as well as shipping!
