UK-US Taxes

Hi All,
I am currently negotiating my relocation package with my company. What should I know about paying taxes? I have figured out how much I will be paying in UK Taxes, which seems to be pretty comparable to what I pay in UK taxes (which I found interesting after years of hearing my English friends bitch about how much they pay in taxes). What I don't know is if I am going to get stuck with additional cost from paying/ reporting in both countries. Anyone have any insight? Should I ask for additional cost of living adjustment to cover this? How much? Thanks.
