American School in London--thoughts?

We are moving to London in 2010 and will stay for 3 years. After doing some research, we have applied to the American School in London, but I haven't seen many peoples opinions of it.

My child will only be starting K2-2nd grade..so the academics don't have to be super strenuous, and I want the school to be in London close to us, we have requested St. John's wood..can anyone tell me their thoughts on the school or suggestions on other places we should apply to that are close by?
