Applying for UK jobs: Is it even worth it?

Hello ~

I am in the television/film/media business. While I have some experience, I'm also not management material. However, I'm certain that I would qualify for many of the jobs in the media industry I see posted in the UK. My question is, is it even worth applying for these kinds of jobs without a UK work permit? I highly doubt I would qualify for a Tier 1 work visa, so I would most certainly need to be sponsored first. I'm just not sure if the likes of TV studios or post-production houses would do that sort of thing. The BBC, for example, requires a UK work visa before you even apply for jobs.

If you have any experience with this - or any experience with the media field in the UK in general - your advice is much appreciated!
