Need HELP! - Returning to UK with young kids born outside UK

I'm a UK Citizen who's been out of the UK for 13 yrs. I am returning to the UK in the near future. I am a single mum with two children born in the US. I have sole custody of one and may get parents agreement from the other. I need overall guidance/help in learning what steps to take to return, what's next, UK passports for my children, how to get re-established in the UK, credit, NHS, benefits to get started, jobs, etc. Everything and anything that you think of will help I'm sure! Can I just come back with my kids and live and that's it, or is there more to it than that?
