Transferring from Atlanta to London...how much salary to ask for?

Hi Everyone,

I am being offered a position in London at a large public accounting firm. I currently have 4 years experience in the same position in the US, so am coming in as an experienced hire (Tax Assistant Manager/Manager). I currently make ~$62,000 in Atlanta, and am not looking for a big boost in salary or anything, I would just like to basically "keep myself in the lifestyle to which I've become accustomed". I'm 26, single, and am used to have some amount of discretionary income to travel, eat out, go out to bars, etc. I know with the London rental market I will not have as much as I'm used to in Atlanta, but would like to make enough to live alone, within 30 min tube ride to work (the office is in Zone 1), in a reasonably safe area. I'm ok with having a small place, but would still like to have enough to go out to pubs, eat out, travel a bit, etc.

What do you all think would be a reasonable salary to ask for? I was thinking between 45k-50k pounds, but didn't want to vastly overestimate, or short change myself either...any advice would be greatly appreciated!
