Moving from Sri Lanka to England

Basically, I have some very good friends in Sri Lanka who are just not earning enough in their jobs (they are deaf), and they are desperate to move to England to hopefully get better jobs and life for their children.

They have asked me to help them search for jobs/sort out visa etc (they can go to the embassy etc themselves but they need some help from me because of the language barrier) but I'm not sure what they/I have to do.

Any help or advice from anyone would be much appreciated! How do they sort out their visa? (I assume they need to do this from the Colombo embassy, but is a working visa possible?) and how can they go for a job interview while they are overseas?
