Pet travel

Please can anyone advise - I need to travel back to UK from Santander with my dog but also need to leave me car here - can get train to port with her but of course can not use ferry without putting her in a car/lorry etc - is there anyone that does pet transport just across the sea - very quiet nice little dog and I would travel with her as a foot passenger and collect her the other side.......
