Pensions

I have a general question about pensions:

I begun working under a UK contract a couple of years ago and started contributing to a UK pension right away (I hold both US and French passports)

Since I do not plan to return to the states even after I retire, should I keep contributing? Will I run the risk of being double-taxed when I cash out? I even heard that some US citizens have been advised not to contribute at all or just the minimum, etc...

I understand there are many details to take into considerations, but any advice, or links to online resources or companies you trust would be most appreciated.

Thank you.
