Some questions before making the decision :)

Hi, Im thinking on moving to Uruguay or Ecuador with my parents. What i want to know is:

- can i buy a decent 2 bedroom house with 100 m2 or more for $110.000 + - in Punta de este/La Barra?

- are there any good closed condominiums in those areas or close? ( with villas/houses not apartments )

- Can a person live with no worries with $1000 a month?

- Besides Punta del este what other places you recommend ? ( looking for a place similar to Algarve in Portugal, a place where people go for vacations and its very lively in the high season and more calm in the low seasons )
