Home Schooling, etc, In Uruguay

Home Schooling is Legal in Uruguay, check out HSLDA website for more information.
Uruguay, is a wonderful, beautiful, safe country. I have traveled to 20 different countries, and I love Uruguay.
We own land there, and found our realtor to be honest, and the transaction went smoothly.
Now, dealing with an architect was a different story. The one we had, is not honest. We lost money, and ended up not continuing with her.
We have found a builder, that I trust, and I would trust his architect, but we have decided to put off building for now....
The American School in MVD is about $20,000 and to purchase a car is also expensive. No, you can not bring a car to Uruguay, in case anyone is wondering.
We are starting a small business, in another country other than the US, where it's more affordable. I do plan on building as soon as we can afford. I hope that is sooner , rather than later!
I do want to caution people, be very, very careful who you select for builders and architects. I am not the only person from the states who has been taken advantage of.
With all this though, I still love Uruguay, the people, the country and plan on making it home.
