Okay - this may sound like an odd question, but, no matter how it comes across, please know that I mean no disrespect. I may well also be showing my ignorance here...
I know a lot of expats are older people, moving out-of-country to retire. I have also heard that assisted living facilities are not really a "thing" in many central and south American countries - the older generation lives with, and is taken care of by, the younger generation.
This being said, what do most of you who are retiring overseas plan to do when you get to a point where you need a helping hand?
