I am arriving soon in Uruguay and I want to bring an american made inverter for my Uruguayan off -the -grid home. I paid around $1000.00 USD for it here. I plan to bring it in my luggage. I would like to declare it at the airport and pay any custom fees required. Any one with knowledge or experience of any complications with this plan are welcomed and encouraged to provide advice. I have not the slightest idea of the process. Thanks to all. BTW This is the best message board I have ever seen anywhere.
