what is the best bank to open an account with ?

Hi, Everyone,

I wonder what you may advice re opening a savigs/investment account in Uruguay in a bank that is well capitalized, with solid concervative banking practices? I have a EU passport. .. wonder what documents may be necessary? I heard that banks are paying very decent % interst rate? Is it a total nighmare ?

(it has been a nighmare: a bahamas bank asked to fill in an IRS form , yes, for NON Americans !! I refuse to do that...Gernsey bank giving me a hard time because my address is a PO BOX (living in a small beautiful rural setting = no home delivery).. a nightmare...Thank you very much.
