Your advice and suggestions have not gone unnoticed from the U.S. Thank you very much.
Have been researching about where to buy a place when we come in July. I had liked the Ciudad de la costa area for it's proximity to schools and MVD. However, I'm bothered that I haven't heard anyone on this forum speak of this area at all. I met with realtors last July and saw many places, reasonable priced in Solymar and El Pinar, close to MVD schools. I have been trying to get statistics and data on crime in the area, but coming up short. Went on Interior Ministry sight to research, but couldn't find anything. Tried to join the Facebook.com.groups.uruguayexpats to find info from others and found t is a closed group, So I am in "pending" mode.
Am simply wondering if I may be looking in a wrong area and ask for your thoughts?
Any suggestions of where else to search for information would be greatly appreciated. I've been on buscandocasa and gallito. But am really interested in data on areas. Schools were my top priority, But now safety tops the list.
